YOU CAN HEAL YOUR LIFE, THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF AFFIRMATIONS.

*

I have been doing lately some conscious work on manifesting and attracting more abundance and prosperity into my life. I have concentrated my efforts on specific meditations, visualization exercises and even working together in a group with other fellow friends to magnetize even more our dreams and objectives. I have felt quite motivated while doing this kind of work and today I decided to watch once more a classic film on the field of health, spirituality and new ways of thought, I'm talking about "You can Heal your Life" by Louise Hay, one of my favourites.  I myself have discovered the power of affirmations long time ago precisely after I've read her best selling book "You can Heal your Life", which to my was not only a profoundly inspirational tool but also a amazingly healing one, so every time and then I enjoy watching this highly insightful movie.

One of the inspirations that flourished in my by watching this film again was to write a little article about Affirmations and its power. For most people who are not so familiar with the wonderful world of affirmations, they may seen nonsense at first, a silly thing to do or something that even feels fake, however, if you were patient enough to endure the first faces of this process, you'll soon realize the great potential it has to help you change your life and create a space of healing and transformation all around you, but mainly inside of you.  Here are some ideas on affirmations that may help you understand the mysterious but incredible power that this healing tool has to offer to anyone who is willing to dive right into it. Please read up until the end and feel free to join me next Saturday January 28th at 3pm to the screening of ""You can Heal your Life" film by Louise Hay and "The wonderful world of Affirmations" discussion circle afterwards. For more information please contact me by e-mail or facebook. Have an amazing, inspiring and insightful week!!

THE  TOOL OF AFFIRMATION

To Affirm means to make a positive, confident statement.  It takes conscious decision and will. These statements represent ideas that affect emotions, behaviour and health. Affirmative statements are usually thought of in terms words, but your posture and gestures can also be affirmations in a way.

Affirmative Speech.

The ideas we hold about ourselves or about varios aspects of life are often expressed through our speech patterns, meaning the habitual words or phrases we use to describe ourselves and our feelings. It frequently happens that the use of these words has become such a habit that we don’t even realize it when we are saying them, that’s why these spontaneous words and phrases reveal our true self, feelings and beliefs.

IDEAS=SPEECH PATTERNS

Some of you are already familiar with the idea of affirmations, but there is a difference between effective affirmations and nice-sounding statements.  Long or too vague affirmations have virtually no effect on behaviour though they may give a temporary good feeling.

The subconscious part of you mind, which is directly involved with the state of your health responds better to statements that are short and to the point.  Effective affirmations need to be specific enough and have a clear meaning to you. Affirmations work best when they deal with changing ideas that you hold about yourself or about life in general.  Besides being short, clear, specific, and positive, a good affirmation is also one that you believe.

Effective affirmation: Short, clear, specific, positive, reflect changing negative patters, you believe in it.

Habbits are formed by repetition. The repetition first takes place in the mind, with images and ideas and then it gives rise to habitual emotions, speech, and behaviour. It is a fact that in human nature the only way to get rid of an old habit is to replace it with a new one.  Habitual words and phrases are like constant reinforces that either limit thought and action or allow them to expand.

The purpose of affirmation is to help you consciously develop a kind of habitual reinforcement to give yourself.

Affirmative posture.

Posture is a form of behaviour. Ideas affect behaviour and behaviour can influence and stimulate ideas. When I speak of posture, I’m including our gestures and all the ways we hold our bodies under varying circumstances. By changing your posture in an affirmative way you can reinforce positive ideas and emotions. Changing the posture alone won’t do the job, you must change your limiting ideas and habits as well. Used in combination with affirmative speech and positive intent, postural affirmation help to establish new ideas and habits more quickly and permanently.

So go ahead a practice some affirmations today.  Here a a few examples of short, clear, specific, and positive affirmations, it is your work to make them help you change a negative mental pattern into a more healthy and positive one and to believe in them as well, Enjoy!

  1. Many a times self-books give you important point on how to improve one's personality. This is really good one in this category. Self-help, self-improvement or self-healing all these categories helps readers to make improvements in one’s life. This book is helpful in this regard. One interesting aspect I found in this book is how the topic “the body” is treated. Though I read books about “the body”, this particular book gives details about each organ and how one needs to look after the parts of body. This is really interesting and useful as well.
