THE FIRST CONGRESS OF HOLISTIC HEALTH FOR LATIN AMERICAN WOMEN WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!!

WOW, it's been an intense healing journey for everyone at the First Congress of Holistic Health and Complementary Therapies for Latin America Women in Toronto this weekend April 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2012, and yet no one regrets the fact that the path to wholeness requires hard work and a great deal of courage for it to come to a full circle. I want to thank our international guest Maryamparo De la Vega for all her wisdom and strength as our guide during these three days. Congratulations to all those amazing women, the participants, who have trusted and opened up their hearts and most profound feelings to us in search of a healthier expression of themselves. I feel so honoured of having been part of this inspiring journey, not only as a a member of the collective, but also as a workshop facilitator and participant. It was indeed a weekend for vulnerability and painful memories to come to the surface, so everyone at their own time may release and heal ancient and recent emotional, spiritual and physical wounds. I was invited to participate in the development and organizing of this Congress right from the start, together with Alex Flores from Las Perlas Noticias, Grissel Orellana from The Toronto Rape Crisis Centre and Karla Escalante and that has been certainly quite an enriching experience both personally and professionally. I feel very humble to have met Maryamparo de la Vega who has over 29 years of experience working with women in the area of Psychoanalysis and holistic healing, that has been to me not only so inspiring but also very reassuring. At the Congress, I participated representing my company Lunae Healing Arts by facilitating a workshop called "Tools for Emotional Self-empowerment" where I focused on the importance of Meditation, Breathing exercises, Visualization and Crystal Healing. We also had a little taste of Acupuncture Healing by Lorena Meillon and amazing refreshments and food by the organizing team. The participants also got from the Congress' organizing team a significant little present (a crystal necklace), from the latest Lunae's 2012 Collection, as a way of reinforcing their commitment to their personal healing using the new tools they had learnt during the two days Congress. The last day of the congress was specifically for Professional Therapist working with women already on different areas of healing, being that mental, emotional, physical or energetic. Again, we enjoyed the richness of Maryamparo's expertise and wisdom. Having say that, I just want to highlight my overflowing emotion and gratitude for this amazing three days Congress of Holistic Health and Complementary Therapies organized by the Women's Collective of Complementary Therapies of Toronto. I'm so looking forward to the next one! Great work everybody! Love, Tania Borja. Lunae Healing Arts Artistic Director
